Our Mission
I regret that I have but one vote to give to my country…*
This is an artist empowerment tool that all can benefit from.
We enable U.S. citizens and citizens of the world to SELL ART and BUY ART to help make sure that the Democratic institutions of the United States of America flourish.**
We support the cause of monitoring elections in the U.S. by raising funds for 501C3 not-for-profits that are experts in the areas of detecting and deterring vote count manipulation, voter and voting fraud.*** Only One Vote is committed to helping the election integrity movement reform election procedures prone to abuse in the U.S. after Election Day on November 4, 2008.
We strongly encourage artists empowered through this site to donate to
the Election Defense Alliance****
We further acknowledge the artist's right to donate to the political cause of their choice, and hope to aid in facilitating this process.
Only One Vote works on an honor system. However, agreement of sale and assignment of cause (expressions of intention) are to be considered legally binding. We encourage artists to get involved in our political process to the full extent of the law. We encourage the art collector in all of us to help them do that (to the full extent of the law).
Only One Vote operates as a broker. We introduce buyers of art (collectors) to sellers (artists). We surrender our broker's fee (commission) to the artist to enable them to donate that portion of the sale to their cause.
Only One Vote is a labor of love. We have operated exclusively on our own meager personal resources. We have received $0 funding form any other source. However, we hope that some artists might donate a 5% portion of the sale of their work to us for operating and advertising expenses.
This website is rigorously monitored for signs of abuse. Please respect our forum.
*…but I accept it as a lawful limitation of my powers. This is a paraphrase of “I only regret that I have but one life to give my country.” – Nathan Hale, 1776
**It should be noted that the French government assisted the cause of liberty during the American Revolution that founded the United States of America.
***Republicans talk about voter fraud. This is when people attempt to vote in an election that they do not have the lawful right to participate in. Democrats are concerned primarily with voting fraud. This is when U.S. citizens who have the lawful right to vote are denied that privilege through illegal means.
